Ghost? I don't know

Postby bobg on Wed Aug 06, 2008 5:15 pm

While I was still working (i'm retired) I had to attend some company training in Beaverton Oregon. One night, in the middle of the night I was woke up by a man's voice saying "Five hundred thousand." The voice sounded like the speaker was right beside me.

I thoroughly searched the hotel room but could not find anyone there. What struck me the strongest was the voice itself. It was the kind of rich resonant voice that every man secretly envies. It was also totally unfamiliar to me.

Thinking about that number, I couldn't help thinking "What if it's money?" Finally without speaking out loud I formed the complete question in my mind; "Five hundred thousand what?"

The answer came immediately as clearly as someone standing directly in front of me; "Five hundred thousand miles driven."

To make a long story shorter, I calculated an estimate of my total mileage over the years and I came out at 489,000 miles.

Needless to say I got very little sleep that night. I was realy cranky the next day.

Cute story. I'm not sure if I'd be fussing over other people's mileage in my aferlife, though. That must be be bored ghost. LOL!

The way you got the answer is like the way I receive information from ghosts, so I'd be leaning towards the ghost theory.
