As a Civil War buff, I'll be particularly interested in that. I've heard that they will also be going to my old favorite, Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio sometime this season. That was a stop on the Underground Railroad. I had been nudging Chris to do an investigation there for his new series, as he was looking for places that hadn't been done to death (so to speak). I guess TAPS beat him to it.

The Ohio Episode is set to air April 2 I can't wait to see what they find because the first Episode of the new season was at Fort Mifflin in Philly and the Evidence they got was unbeliveable
So Hopefully Prospect Place should be Just as active

Great! Thank you for letting me know. I've always found Prospect Place to be incredibly active. I've also got a soft spot for it, because I got my first evp there.

Catch me in the chatty mood sometime and I will fill you in on even more of the history. They touched the tip of the iceberg.

The figure in the barn was great, but frankly, they got surprisingly little evidence compared to the times when my group has been there. I've gotten excellent evps, seen flashes of light out of nowhere, simultaneously witnessed by my brother, and psychically got advice from the original lady of the house on how on how to trim a Civil War era costume I was working on. An experiment in table tipping turned me from a complete skeptic to believing here's something to it, whether it's spirits or just energy interplay between living folks. Friends of mine saw a small shadow person running around in the gentlemen's parlor. There is a wealth of cool evidence picked up by other investigators as well.

I suspect the inhabitants of the house weren't too keen on the attitude of T.A.P.S. in general. I have found them very willing to interact if you treat them respectfully. Seeing the T.A.P.S. investigation is making me even more interested in seeing Chris do an investigation there. I'm pretty sure that they would respond more openly to him.

Also it was -4 degrees outside when they did their investigation. Not really a whole lot of time to investigate an area before you freeze your butt off.

You know, as I was watching TAPS in Prospect House, I was saying to my partner that perhaps they weren't really making the best of the situation and quite frankly seemed to be impatient because of the cold. I agree, Chris would certainly receive more interaction, thus more evidence - simply because he knows how to communicate respectfully and interchangeably.

Prospect House looked like an interesting place, shame they didn't dress accordingly so they could fully delve into the opportunity offered.

The show use to be about debunking....didn't it, it seems they are far to quick to say the words 'haunted' or 'paranoramal' these days, or is that my imagination?

I've said this many times: The show isn't cut to show a group being professional in handling and debunking claims, it's cut to be entertaining. so Brian Hornois(sp?) comes off as a moron, Jason comes off as a hard-ass with no sense of humor, and the group as a whole is shown as almost immediately believing what their seeing.

The thing is from what I've heard from Jason/Grant/and other TAPS members as well as from what others have to say is that TAPS spends a lot of time debunking. What we see as 2 minutes is the product of three-four hours of debunking in some cases. So really just because their quick to say it's haunted that seems more like Pilgrim editing, rather then them trying to break their own code of ethics.

That doesn't surprise me! It does disapoint me though, I'd rather see those few hours of debunking than two mintues of reveal that seems fake. My son and I were hooked to the live even they did - it was nice to see them work like that.

But it does seem as if they are 'editing' the shows to reveal less debunking and more hauntings than they use to in season one..doesn't it? Or am I imagining that?

Highly annoying to say the least, as I love it when they debunk it, not only does it seem more realistic, but I also enjoy the reactions all their debunking gets. And, when they do come across something that they can't explain, it has more impact! OO it could also be that i'm so use to the set up now, that it appears to be airing less debunking, but in reality, i'm just immune to it? who knows...

eh complain to Pioneer. I'm sure they made the changes based on the ratings of the episodes that got evidence vs the episodes that got nothing.

Tomorrow night they are headed to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum [Weston State Hospital] in W Virginia I've never heard of this place and from what I saw on the preview it looks like a very interesting place and kinda creepy

Lunatic asylums in general should be pretty active, between the high emotions there and the fact that the mentally ill are more likely to be confused about the fact that they are dead. But this will probably be one of those shows that drives me a little nuts (so to speak). TAPS has no interest in spirit rescue. It seems a bit rude to go make contact with spirits for research or entertainment purposes and not at least try to do something to help if you know they're in torment.

I agree I really would love it when the TAPS crew does these sensetive places like Mental Hospitals etc that they would invite Chris on the show to help these spirits pass over
I found some info on this place http://trans-alleghenylunaticasylum.com/
it's been around since the Civil War and closed in 1994
