Introducing...

::Drum roll::

ME!!!

My name is Robyn, most people call me Byn.
I have been helping Chris out with his website for a couple months now, and having a blast doing it! Chris is an absolutely fantastic guy to work for.

My "day job" is working for Clear Channel Radio in the Total Traffic department. Basically, I get to watch the traffic cameras in the metro area, listen to the police scanners, and update any incidents that happen on the highways. Its entertaining sometimes to see people being "odd" when they think no one is looking.

I have also worked with www.darknessradio.com when their show first started up. Thanks to The Dave from DarknessRadio for getting me this job with Chris! It's amazing how the world seems so small sometimes.

I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. If you are nice to me, I may share some stories later Smile

Now... its YOUR turn. I want to know more about YOU!!!

Hello Robyn,
You are doing a great job with the site. I'm glad you decided to switch the forum.

My name is John Hart, as you can probably tell from my username. I was the original web designer for Unknown Magazine for 7 - 8 years, but I decided to leave the web design world behind. I'm glad Chris found a replacement. Keep up the good work and try not to let the pressure get to you. Smile

Now for a little bit about me. I retired from the Air Force in 2004, after a long 20 years. I first became interest in the paranormal in 1997 after moving to Utah. We had a local radio program called Ground Zero that covered many paranormal topics. I eventually became the web designer for Ground Zero. Chris was a guest on Ground Zero and that is how I started working for him.

I started my own site called American Ghosts where I attempted to list a haunting from every state, but my interest waned before I finished. The site has gone away now. The only site I have that is active is http://vintagecomputercollector.com where I discuss my hobby of collecting vintage 8 bit computers.

I don't think I ever did do an introduction thingy on the last board...I don't normally do that kind of thing...but what the heck!

My name is Rhiannon but most call me Rhi (pronounced 'Ree' and not 'Rye' as some people think it is pronounced when they read it). I'm 28 and live in the UK just north of London.

I've been interested in the paranormal since I was about 3 or 4 years old and had a few experiences as a child though not so many as I've gotten older, sadly.

I found UM in 2004 after watching Dead Famous (still the best paranormal show I've ever seen) and have been loitering about ever since Wink

I'm very excited at the minute as this summer I will be visiting at least two of the locations featured in DF - the Queen Mary and the Whaley House - whilst on my vacation in the US!!!

And, for the record, my username comes from a line in The Doors song 'Easy Ride' Very Happy

I'm Nellie, although everyone here just calls me Abbey. The Abbey is actually a historic preservation project I work on. =)

I have a paranormal website at www.eeriecanal.org Both my day job and weekend job are at haunted history museums. I seem to have a past life connection to the Civil War era museum I work at that had been a family home for 130 years. At least that's what the ghosts there tell me. There's been other evidence to suggest that they aren't pulling my leg. I have been a paranormal investigator for a few years and have started working on my mediumistic abilities for the past year and a half. The latter is largely to try to sort things out with the reincarnation issue, and I am getting pretty good at it. I may resurrect the old Accommodating Spirit thread and post more about that there.

Hello everyone, name is Joyce Foley. I grew up in Chicago and now live in the northwest suburbs where my family lives. Been a member here since April 2006 was under the name of jaf23. Been drawn to anything paranormal since age 6 or 7 when I had my first encounter. My parent's close friend was a sensitive and my father's girlfriend was a psychic so it was never taboo growing up which was comforting. I used to buy Chris's magazine years back when he was publishing it.Lost all the magazines when I moved and was able to buy all the back issues from Chris a year ago, yay! I found this site watching Dead Famous on tv one night, didn't recognize Chris's face but knew his name and here I am.

Hello, I have been into the paranormal since I was 15 and now I'm 31 (almost 32). I have ghost hunted with TAPS through darkness radio. I have yet to go on a "retreat" with Chris as one of the guests.

I don't know what else to say so I will end it here. Smile

Hi friends, I finally have a minute so I'll remind everyone about me. HA, like I would let you forget me! LOL

My name is Angela and I am 32. I live in northern Utah with my skeptic husband and 3 beautiful daughters. I have had unexplained things happen to and around me for as long as I can remember. I learned how to ignore or tune out most of it until my youngest came along. I became a fan of Chris when Dead Famous was on and have been here at the Forum for a couple of years now. Still not sure how I found this place but I am very glad that I did. I have been learning a lot from everyone here and have a better understanding of what being sensitive means, for me and my girls!

Hi, cool intro's - I must admitt, i've not been on the forums for a while - I could say life got too busy with me moving (yet again to the other side of the world) but that is just an excuse !!!! I just plain old turned into a naughty girl and didn't drop by! Bad me

So wicked to be back though, i'm hoping, now i'm in snowy MN that i'll have loads of time to catch up with ya'll as I don't drive (still) and that snow is still around - omg can you believe I survived my first winter here! Not so sure i'll survive another one though - almost have cabin fever and expect myself to go nuts any day now!!!!

I know it's been a while since I've been on so i'll post up a wee bit about myself for those that have bad memories like myself and for those that I don't know, but not too much as I'm not one for huge intros! lmao, talking about myself is not something I do well.

So, welsh by blood and was brought up in a small sea side town -north wales --- always had contact with spirit but just never really believed or understood that is was it was until I left home

Even then it was only the odd thing that would happen, seeing people at the end of the bed etc...
It wasn't until we moved (when I say we, I mean my partner and children) to scotland, where we lived in a 200 yr old cottage - there I came face to face with far toomany spirits, and so my search for answers started. That was 10 years ago.

Since then I've lived in Yorkshire and Australia with a recent move to Minnesota (st cloud) I've gone on many investigations and studied many different holsitic therapies (with diplomas to boot - that's what happens when your a bored housewife! haha)

All that time on my hands and experience, I started writing articles for magazines about psychic art colour therapy and ghostly experiences etc....which leads me to where I am today! haha (trying to write a bit of fiction for a change)

so there you have my quicky life story,, now you know all about me.

I have two children, I am new to the states and I don't drive (arghhh plus all this snow)

I think the last thing to share about myself is that i'd love to get back to doing paranormal investigations again, so if anyone knows of any in MN that aren't a million miles away - please shout!!!!!!!

xxxxxx

Hey.
I`m new in this forum, and will just say hello. I`m from Scandinavia and live in a community called "Were the 3 tribes meet". Because of that the paranormal is common among people who has been living here for several generations. I grow up with this, but in a way it has been a taboo until the last years after it have been okey to speak about it after the focus on this subjects in the public. I`m not sure if I have any "gifts" or if I am a product of my culture, but I am verry sensitive person and haven`t learn to use or really understand all the strange things that`s happend in my life. Well anyway, I hope to learn a bit about this in this forum were it seem to be a lot of nice people.
