Hi guys so sorry this is late but obviously its been a busy week lol!


Here's a little piccy of the angel who arrived at 15:51 on 1st of april (oh dear lol - thankfully after midday though Wink ). We're both doing great, mom is a little sick but its "under control" as the quacks put it hehe!


This was taking yesterday!!

She was 6 pound 6 ounces (2880gs for those of you who are all metric).
And 48.6cms long Very Happy

She's doing excellent - hasnt even lost any weight where as most babies lose some after birth. She's now around 7pound 3 ounces (3220gs I think) and 53cms long so evidence of a hungry baby who insists on getting big quick hehehe!

Thought perhaps there's something not quite right.... I mean.. She stays awake nearly all day long quiet as a mouse just making baby noises then sleeps ALL NIGHT LONG Surprised Surprised LMAO! - Not that I'm complaining mind you hehehe!

Her name by the way is a mixture of 2 people sadly who passed away this time last year. One of my best friends from school Leigh, and my ultimate in best friends from where I am now Karl. God bless them both! Smile - There's no chance they can be forgotten this way!

thats awesome! I love the name too! Very sweet Very Happy

You quickly forget how small they are though. My three buddahs though...i dont think they were ever small!! lol

Aaron was 7lb5, Eva was 8lb9 and Ethan 8lb13 and they were all 51cm long. I see other babies that were around the same size and i seriously DONT remember them ever being that small!! lol

But you're right...i wouldnt complain too much about the sleepign patterns!! lol Not many of us can be blessed like that. I know a few mummies who were SERIOUSLY jealous coz my three were sleeping through the night within a few weeks!! lol

haha! know exactly what you mean... Karleigh is now the size rachel was when she was born (same length too) - and I just cant remember her being that small! lol jaymez was 7lb8 and even then I cant remember him being small at all.

Lynzi was the smallest - she was 5lb13 at birth so I've no comparison there - however Karleigh just seems all that more smaller somehow.. lol The other 3 are realy chunky monkies now LOL

My niece was a twin (unfortunately her twin brother passed away) and she was only 650g!! Jack (the twin) was only 450g. They were 13 weeks early. She is now a happy healthy 6y/o but i just cant imagine her that small!! (she was born before i met my fiance) Apparently she was the size of you hand! Her arm was the length and width of my pinky finger!

Personally, I LOVE the newborn stage! They are so cuddly and have no choice but to snuggle in!! lol I have to beg for cuddles now and even tehn, I usually get pushed away!! lol


ARGH!! I have to stop talking babies! Its making me soooo clucky! I WANT ANOTHER BABY!!!! lol

lol Tim's mother is showing the "cluck cluck" instinct bless her... Should of seen the look on her hubby's face LMAO!

Its unbelievable how they can sustain such a fragile tiny little life - being 13 weeks early I mean thats like SERIOUSLY early isnt it Surprised wow... bet she's had no trouble catching up in growth either Very Happy bless her! - Bet her brother's watching out for her too Smile

hehe they loved her instantly as all good siblings do. First to demand a hold was the youngest which threw us abit, thinking she would be feeling like her nose was out of place! - Their very helpful in feeding her and calming her when she cries lol.
