I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this...

About 8 years ago in the small town of Wynyard SK., Canada, I experienced something that I cannot forget. One night between 12:00 pm and 1:00 am I had just turned of the tv and was laying down to go to sleep when I had the really strange urge to roll over on to my back. As I turned over on to my back I was shocked to see a figure about 6`6 feet tall, leaning over me, about 1 foot maybe 2 feet from my face. The body was black (like it was wearing a black trench coat), but the face, oh and the face, was pale white no visible eyes, nose or mouth but I could definately tell where they belonged by the different shading in those areas of the face ( for example: instead of pale white where the eyes were it was almost a light greyish color). As I proceeded to sit up the figure stood up, moved to the end of the bed and swiftly moved out the door. I did get up and followed it to the door, but could not see or hear anything. The friend I was living with at the time thinks "I am just seeing things" as I do have a creative imagination.

I am curious as to if I was just asleep and seeing things, I thought of shadows from a tree out side but my bed was on the south side of the room and the shadow of the tree outside, at that time of night, was on/against the north part of the room through the window on the west wall, the curtains I always had closed so no one could see into my bedroom from outside. Well this is my story, I hope somebody can give me some real insight to this event!!

I've never experienced anything quite like that. The closest was seeing a shadow person walk up to me as I was vacuuming at the tail end of a long night shift at work, and a couple of times when I woke up in the morning to see a glowing blue bubble floating about a foot above me.

However, I've heard lots of stories similar to yours over the years. People are more psychically open while in that half-asleep state because their minds aren't chattering away like they do when fully awake. OTOH, skeptics will argue that you may have been in a semi-conscious dream state at that point.

i actualy had something like this happen to me only the other morning!

I was in bed, in the stages of waking up. I rolled over, as i did so, I saw a man standing at the end of the bed, bending over slightly with his hands on the foot of the bed., looking at me. Thinking it was my fiance (who works early mornings, and generally gets home around the time i wake up) i looked back to say good morning...but he was gone!

My fiance was home...however he was in the loungeroom watching tv, and hadnt come into the bedroom.

I have read (and experienced) that when you are relaxed, you go into a light trance, and we have these occurances daily, while watching tv, standing in the shower/sitting in the bath, or first stages of light sleep....and this is when you are most likely to see spirits!

Istill struggle to make out facial features!
