Has anyone ever done a reading for someone?

Ive just had someone ask me to do one for them. It stems from a "mummy support" forum here in oz (also known as huggies.com.au ! lol) and the subject of ghosts/spirits came up.

it was through this thread that i met Abby (my spirit twin). She emailed me because I had posted a quick "reading" of sorts for another lady.

when i had read this lady's post about her daughter who maybe psychic, i had this energy whoosh through me (it actually pushed my backwards into my chair!! lol) and I knew that this little girl was very psychic and saw spirits all the time...so i wrote what i had felt.

another lady saw this and asked me to do a reading for her son...who she also believes maybe seeing spirits.
I emailed back saying i dont have the control to do readings at will...but should i get something i would by all means tell her, and i gave some tips on how to nurture her son by asking questions of what is he feeling/seeing? that sort of thing

Finally to my question!! lol
But has anyone done a reading before?
Is there any sort of "special preparation" or is it just like normal experiences and things "just happen"

Im never going to "cash in" on my abilities...i feel that would be abusing the ability of sorts (though i dont have anything against those who do ask for payments) My abilities are for myself, and if I pick up something that needs to be shared...then by all means I will. But i feel that we deal with enough sceptisim anyway...once you start asking for money, then it adds further fuel to the fire. Just thought I would make that point clear!! lol (hope no one took offense!)

I've done past life readings for people. I don't do any special preparation. Pretty much all I need to do is take a deep breath, relax, and let the images start flowing. It's a lot easier to read for other people than it is for myself.
