Ticking noise

Postby cayen on Wed Aug 27, 2008 11:49 pm

I'm wondering about using a device that sends out a steady tick if that would help with EVP or spirit communication.

My Radio Shack 469 clicks constantly on AM. I get better results though that than on FM. A friend who has the 470, which doesn't click, said that mine was easier to understand. BUT, that isn't necessarily because of the clicking.

Why do you think ticking might be helpful?

it's a theory. I think that a steady tick might actually attract ghosts paticularly those who used to have ticking clocks during their life time.

I'm thinking about that old cliche about catching more bees with honey then vinager

I brought along an old timepiece that was handed down a few generations.

At one point during the investigation, the temperature dropped about 20 degrees and the watch paused from ticking for a few brief seconds (one other witness to this.)

Later, in a different area, I placed it open on a low beam with the face pointing upwards. Caught a few orbs on a digital camera, and sensed there was a definite presence in the room. Also had a freaky personal experience, but that's another story altogether.

I was inside turn of the century buildings, upscale in their heyday, so you may indeed have valuable insight with the ticking theory.

really it's no different then using a ball on a child ghost. Actually I have another theory regarding orbs that I'm going to /Try/ to finish and have ready for the Stanley event/.

I would never use a radio for evp's since you can pick up any noise.

Orbs....have they not been proved to be nothing more than camera flash, dust, insects, moisture ect ect.?
Dont look back, you may miss the life in front.

I'm not using a radio to create the noise.
As for orbs yes your right on it could be all of those. however the type I'm looking for I think might give of IR or very faint light. Either way the box will detect either types of light.
