transfering evp's from voice recorder to cd

Postby Annee on Fri Nov 28, 2008 5:16 pm

I have an interesting question, and maybe someone out there can answer it for me. After an investigation, one of the first things I do is listen (sometimes this takes a long time) to my voice recorder, then transfer the most interesting responses onto a cd. This can then be played to other members of my group or sent as evidence to wherever we went. I have found during the last 2 investigations, that a lot more was picked up on the cd, extra stuff that was not heard on the voice recorder via headphones....Anyone have any idea why? Would it perhaps be because of a different frequency? Looking forward to your responses

Ooh, this question just came up on another forum I'm on, too. I don't think anyone did have any answer for it. I had a situation where I captured an evp, played it a few times on my recorder, then had it completely disappear from the recording. But a few weeks later, it reappeared. This was all being played on the same recording device. So, you may be having a similar experience and the particular devices it's being played on might have nothing to do with it. Interesting.
