I know about EVPS etc and have recently caught a couple myself. The house were we live has alot of orbs flying around - both me and my partner can see them with the naked eye and we have caught them on the digital camera too.

My partners has seen alot of moving dark shapes at night both downstairs and mostly in our bedroom. Ive seen a couple. There isnt a bad atmosphere in the house at all but i thought id try evps to see if i could find out who the orbs/shadows are.

i want to ask questions but obviously be respectful to any spirits that are around.

Treat them the same as you would any living person that you are just getting to known, and you should do fine. I get better results if I just chat them up instead of making them feel like they are being interrogated, like you see on most tv programs.

You may also want to check out the Haunted Voices website www.hauntedvoices.com as they have a wealth of information there about evp work. I have gotten most of my training through them and can't say enough good things about them. There is also the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena site at www.aaevp.com

I am a sceptic but evp's are a special interest of mine.

I take no notice whatsoever of any evp's that have been taken white noise via a tv or radio but those on a brand new recording do interest me very much.

As Abbeygal said.....talk to whatever is out there as you would talk to anyone living.
Never do a Most Haunted diatribe. I know if I was a spirit and Yvette yelled and swore at me I would ignore her.

Its so difficult to work out sometimes what is a voice and what is a natural sound.
I once go an evp so clear I was totally freaked out.....it turned out to be my fridge.....yes...ha ha..my fridge.
Its easy to mistake a natural noise for a voice.
